Merry Christmas everyone!
We are celebrating the birth of Jesus and the greatest gift we could ever be given!
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:11 KJV)
My heart is filled with joy and gratitude for this day. The day Christ was born to save us from our sin. I am filled with aw when I think about baby Jesus wrapped in cloth, sleeping peacefully, while Joseph and Mary look over Him. How must it feel to hold the Messiah, to care for Him, and watch Him as He gets older. What must it be like to know this child is the hope for the world. The one who gives us a choice to choose His love and follow Him. He was born to die for a broken world, to provide healing and hope for lost people.
Four Christmas’ ago, in 2009, I planned to share my faith and be baptized at a midnight candle light service. The baptism was postponed a week because, just like this Christmas, we had snow dumped all across North Texas. I was baptized the very next week a month and a half after surrendering my life to Christ.
I hope everyone stays warm and safe if affected by the winter weather!
