PB and J Greek Yogurt

Peanut butter cravings are pretty common here in the Awakuni household, well commonly expressed by me at least… The husband recognizes my need by lovingly budgeting for copious jars of peanut butter… and the dog supports the cravings, and stands by my side with encouraging, expectant eyes.

So, when a craving hits, nobody is alarmed, everybody is prepared.

The turmoil begins in the decision for just how the peanut butter will be prepared and consumed. There are so many choices… like:

  • by the spoonful
  • in a shake
  • on a sandwich
  • with some fruit
  • on celery
  • maybe baked in something
  • balanced with honey 😉

This afternoon I ruled out the more involved choices and I took a risk. I decided to ex-nay the bread and combine peanut butter and strawberry jelly with some greek yogurt. I didn’t want a full blown out sandwich and I didn’t feel like getting out the blender and making a big mess.

Fingers crossed.

It was delicious! Creamy, cold, peanut butter and jelly goodness.

  1. you know, I really do not like Greek Yogurt. I have tried! But, with this PB&J added to it, Im sure I would LOVE IT! Way to go on the experiment! You always seem to create some really yummy stuff out of things that may not be so yummy to many people!

  2. Do you ever eat the flavored greek yogurts?? Like with honey on the bottom and stuff! So good with honey! plain = not so good!
