My day is always so much better when I start off with a run! Since I am up bright and early for work anyways, I decided to to get up a bit earlier in order to give myself time to run two miles to the cupcakery, clean-up, bake a lot of yummy cupcakes, and run two miles back home.
Before heading out I snagged a pack of Yogi Tea to sip on while I baked. I love this stuff. It has a hint of blueberry and tastes great with or without a packet of Truvia.
When I returned home from my run I completed a quick round of 20 squats, 20 pushups and 20 burpees. Just a little something to start off a couple of holiday challenges I committed to.
Blogger Courtney, at Sweet Tooth, Sweet Life posted a 2012 Closeout Workout Challenge that starts today. I was intrigued by this challenge because it can by tracked with an App on my Iphone, and there are prizes for the random winners!
To sign up for Courtney’s Challenge just visit THIS website. Then choose 2-5 exercises and add up the repetitions until you reach 2,012 reps. Three participants will be chosen as winners, two people will win a pair of Reebok Real Flex Fusion TR sneakers and one person will win a $25 “mystery gift card.”
I am choosing to bust out 2,012 reps of burpees, pushups, squats, and plank jacks!
After reading about this challenge it just so happened that my buddy, Clair, sent me a Holiday Squat-A-Thon found on Instagram. Of course I am pumped about this Squat-A-Thon because I can easily incorporate it with the 2012 Closeout Workout Challenge!
